Secrets to Painting Trees
Learn the secrets of painting trees!
Trees are a subject which have long baffled landscape painters. In this workshop, we will break down the secrets to painting trees in oil paint, learning their structure and form. We will study different types of trees and what makes them unique, as well as learn how to capture leaves branches, and other challenges.
This class will take place on Saturday, Nov 16th, from 10 AM - 1 PM
(If you don’t want to purchase your own materials, you can rent them for the day for $10)
Paint Like an Impressionist: Capturing Light & Color
Learn the secrets of the impressionist and discover how to capture light & color.
Painting in a loose manner with broad brushstrokes, we will learn how to paint light and light effects, as well as capture vibrant colors and reflections. The focus will be on capturing the "impression" of what we see, and learning how to prioritize the big picture over small details. Additionally, we will learn how colors change in various lighting, and how to translate those into our painting.
Whether you are an experienced painter who wants to add new techniques to your skillset, or a beginner hoping to gain some insight into oil painting, this class will teach you how to capture the illusive effects of light for which the impressionists were so famous.
This class will take place on Saturday, Dec 7th, from 10 AM - 1 PM
Cancelation Policy:
If the studio should be responsible for the cancelation of a class, the class will be rescheduled and the student will have the option to receive a full refund, or to apply the credits to another class.
Due to the limited availability of spaces, as well as the processing fees involved in payment methods, we cannot issue refunds for cancelations made by the students more than 48 hours after a registration. We apologize for this inconvenience, and ask that you please check the dates carefully to verify your availability before registering for a class.
