Commission Terms and Conditions
The following are the terms, conditions and process of commissioning an original piece of artwork with Eliza Jane Moser.
Through consultation with the client, the size, medium, and price of the work will be agreed upon, as well as a timeline by which the painting will be finished. All of these will be presented to the client in written form. After the painting or drawing process has begun, no major changes can be made to the specifications or composition of the painting. Minor changes are permitted at the discretion of the artist.
The painting or drawing process will begin upon receipt of the first deposit. Payments will either be 50% at the beginning and 50% at the end, or in payments of 25%, as preferred by the client. Due dates for payments will be specified in the written outline.
When the painting or drawing is nearing completion, it will be submitted to the client for First Review. This is the client’s opportunity to voice any concerns or request any minor changes. If changes are requested, Eliza will then make adjustments and submit the picture for Final Review and final adjustment requests. After changes have been made following the second review, any further requests for adjustments will require an additional charge, based on the additional hours required to adjust the work.
The remainder of payment is due prior to shipment of, or upon in-person delivery/pickup of the work.
Eliza reserves the right to publish photos of the work or work-in-progress on her website, social media, and other platforms. Though the client may request certain stipulations. Please note, reference photos will never be shared with the public.
After the piece is completed, the client will not paint or draw on top of the original artwork, or in any way alter the appearance of the work, unless it is to restore the work to its original appearance in the case of damage.
